Saica-accredited training audit programme

The AGSA Saica-accredited training scheme started in 2009 and has produced over 2 400 chartered accountants, many of whom are making contributions within AGSA, the public, the private sector and internationally. Some of the alumni who have passed through this programme include the current Saica CEO Patricia Stork and AGSA CFO Polani Sokombela.

To sit for the APC, candidates must first pass their initial test of competence (ITC) which is preceded by the certificate in the theory of accounting (CTA). They must also complete a minimum of 20 months of a registered training contract by the beginning of the month in which the assessment is written and successfully complete a professional programme.
