Requests for information and submission of information for audit may be submitted to agsa@agsa.co.za
Public bodies that require information are requested to email PublicBodiesRFI@agsa.co.za
- Direct any general enquiries such as event invitations, complaints, request for information, research or academic purpose* to us via email at agsa@agsa.co.za
* All requests received regarding research or academic purpose must be accompanied by relevant documents (e.g. letter of request from the requester, motivation, ethical clearance certificate, draft research proposal, questionnaire/interview guide, informed consent template etc.) from the relevant institution or academic institution.
PAIA-POPI@agsa.co.za is set up for information requests in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (Paia) of 2000 and Protection of Personal Information Act (Popia) of 2013. This includes:
- All requests related to information about the AGSA or deemed to be held by the AGSA. Download the "Request for Access to Information" form, fill it in and send it to PAIA-POPI@agsa.co.za (Please review the AGSA website prior to submitting a request for access to information form, as there is a considerable amount of information available)
- All requests for correction or deletion of personal information or objection to the processing of personal information in terms of Popia

Auditee complaints and disputes
In accordance with section 13(1)(c) of the Public Audit Act, 2004 (Act No. 25 of 2004), the AGSA has established mechanisms to objectively investigate and resolve complaints concerning our statutory audits. Complaints are categorised based on their nature and are handled in line with our complaints policy. Disagreements between auditors and auditees regarding audit findings should ideally be resolved before finalising the audit report. Unresolved disagreements are escalated through a structured process involving the engagement manager, business unit leader, and, if necessary, the provincial or national accountant-general.
