Nombembe met and briefed Local Government officials including mayors and municipal managers in all nine provinces, on the municipal audit outcomes and trends for the 2006-07 financial year, and focussed on the analysis of financial management in municipalities in the province.
The purpose of the AG’s analysis, a comprehensive assessment of the state of financial and performance information of local governments, is to provide an overview of the audit outcomes at municipal level.
