AGSA strengthens relations with Rhodes

posted on

The Eastern Cape Business Unit (ECBU) hosted a cocktail function at Rhodes University recently to introduce the AGSA graduates training programme and hand over recognition awards to top achieving students.

The function was attended by senior managers and management from ECBU, our business partner Curtis Snyders, members of the recruitment team from head office, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting Professor David Sewry, Head of Department Professor Jackie Arendse, lecturers and students of the university.

The awards were presented to the top five accounting first, second and third year students and there were also general awards handed over to other top performing students.

ECBU Business Executive Sithembele Pieters gave a motivational talk on his secret to success. He also gave background information on the training programmes that the AGSA has for trainee auditors at the AGSA to complete their articles as well as the various employment opportunities within the organisation.

Professor Sewry applauded the AGSA on its initiatives to help build public confidence by assisting the citizen of the country in holding government accountable.

The evening was abuzz with students who showed interest in what the AGSA has to offer. All stakeholders had the opportunity to network and discuss matters of the economy and future plans of the students.
